Jawbone UP24 giveaway

Jawbone UP24 giveaway

Hi there, beautiful people, I have a Jawbone UP24 fitness tracker to give away!

It’s a step tracker, exercise tracker, sleep tracker, nutrition tracker and all with a social element – you can link up to others who have the same device. Also, it syncs with other fitness apps like MyFitness Pal or Strava and I like that it looks like a bracelet and not like a sports gadget.

I’m giving away a grey medium one (Argos sells them), I have the same one (obviously not the EXACT same one) and it fits my 16cm wrist very well. I blogged about it in detail when I first got it, have a read here. Also, I will ship anywhere in the world but check the list of supported devices here just in case.

To enter the giveaway, simply use the Rafflecopter below and after it closes Rafflecopter will generate a random winner.

  • janine atkin Friday, 1 May 2015 at 08:26

im never on track with my fitness goals

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 09:49

Never? Too many goals? Goals too high? Set little ones and you’ll be on track :) But seriously, what would help you stay on track?

      • janine atkin Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:32

lack of motivation! I dont see results quick enough and then give up :( so my own fault really!

        • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:56

But do you FEEL the results? Do you enjoy it? If you don’t then you need to find another way to move that body of yours, a way that is fun and leaves you feeling great and then what you SEE becomes secondary to how you feel. It’s not that easy to have that change in our mindsets, I totally get it, but I do think we need to be kinder towards ourselves and not rush – the visual changes WILL happen and they will be long term if the road that took you there was smooth and slow and steady :)

  • Fiona Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 22:54

Follow you on Instagram @MrsB_LDN you are inspirational! To win a jawbone UP24 fitness tracker would be amazing encourage me to smash goals I’ve set 1st one being sub 2 hr half marathon…

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:40

Have you run a half before? I think sub 2hrs is totally achievable, you just need to get some mileage into the legs and into the lungs. Once they’re used to distance, you can push them a notch to get you to the finish line faster.

  • Maie Moussa Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 22:23

i am determined to beat cancer and start playing tennis again.3 months ago i couldn’t even walk so now just being able to walk in the part is achievement for me and i am determined to do be back to my old active self.:)

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 09:51

Oh wow, what a tough challenge for you but sounds like you’re halfway to winning the battle. Walking is very good for us and I never take it for granted or think that it’s not exercise enough. Sending you lots of healing vibes!

  • Helen Rothwell Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 18:54

Erm I’m not sure I have specific goals. I have started climbing which I love and I’ve just entered a triathlon with a difference (It’s a paddleboard, mountain bike, train run combo) and I hope to do a Strongwoman in July! A little bit of everything.

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 09:53

So glad you like rock climbing :) I had a dream last night that I was doing a triathlon but had no swimming suit and it was winter and I was going to swim in my regular leggings and top but then while I faffed around figuring it all out I was too late to the event and missed it completely :| I wonder what that all means??

  • Susan B Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 15:51

No, am not being sufficiently disciplined. Just got some new trainers, though, so that will help.

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 09:57

New shoes always help! :) Also, schedule in your exercise and keep the ‘appointments’ like you would any other appointment. After a few weeks you’re so set in your routine that you don’t even have to think about being disciplined. Just make sure you schedule your exercise at a time of day that suits you – if you’re not a morning person do not sign up for a 6am class or set your alarm to go running. I often go running at lunchtime (thankfully we have showers at work) but if my work day is super busy then I just pack my little running backpack and run a little bit towards home and then get on the train.

  • Tina M Holmes Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 11:59

im on my way to getting fitter this would be fab to help me along my way.

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 09:59

Well done for getting fitter and focusing on your health :) When I first started running I used the RunMeter app on my phone to track my distance, etc. It works for both running and walking and is a great app. These days there are lots of wearable fitness gadgets, and they are lots of fun, but there are also lots of apps for phones which are free and very motivating and easy to use.

  • laura jayne bates Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 11:49

    unfortunately no

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:00

Little by little? Small(er) goals? What’s the biggest hindrance in fitting exercise into your weeks?

  • Rai Ne Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 10:45

Jeeeeei! My goal is healthy lifestyle and getting back on track with my physical activities.

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:01

Kuule, sina konnid ju seal magedes niikuinii mingi 100 kilti paevas – fitness juba olemas! :)

  • Kaie Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 09:32

I think it would be nice to have one, especially because of you Mrs.B I’m going to my second CrossFit session tonight. :)

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:02

Tosiselt?!? Tegin uhe vaikese happy dance kui seda lugesin :) Kuidas esialgu tundub?

      • Kaie Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:14

Kôik see on sinu süü! :) Muideks, nägin su ema Eesti uudistes :) Staar!

        • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:37

Crossfiti soltuvus on ju taidsa ok? :) Ja mis minu ema uudistes teeb?? Pean uurima!

  • Jem Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 07:59

This is awesome – it might be the only way I can afford a fitness tracker any time soon, haha :)

re: are you on track with your 2015 fitness goals – my goals are:

    Run a half marathon
    Run a sub 1hr 10k (official)
    Run a sub 25 min 5k (official/parkrun)
Participate in parkruns in 10 different locations

I haven’t *done* any yet, but I’m taking part in my first official 10k next weekend so I’m hoping to tick that one off :D

My only other goal is to achieve a pull-up, but I don’t know if I’m really progressing on that one. I can hold my own weight for longer but I can’t seem to actually pull up AT ALL. :/

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:03

Not challenging goals at all! ;) The pull up one is probably the trickiest. It took me 18 months of Crossfit to get to my first strict chin up (palms facing you). I still cannot do a strict pull up, I don’t think.

  • juliette Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 06:10

training for a 100km walk that takes place in May

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:04

Oh wow, aim high, I like that!

  • Helen Battle Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 06:05

I’m trying to stay on track and am managing to stick to it so far

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:05

Good to hear! If you just take one day at a time and one week at a time then before you notice – you’re so set in your healthy ways that you don’t even have to think about it anymore, it just becomes who you are :)

  • kellyjo walters Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 05:54

no not at all I been really bad of late

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:06

      What’s the biggest obstacle?

  • Tracy Nixon Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 05:29

Yes I am and I have reaced my target weight too!

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:06

Whoop-whoop! So glad to hear when people are kicking a** and taking charge of their health :)

  • suslik Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 05:28

omg omg omg, i just need it! at this point keeping track of my trainings with my dying old nokia phone.
and yes, you have been my inspiration and now i run. i mean I RUN, like 12 km in an hour just yesterday.

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:08

Congratulations, you are a badass runner!! :) I love, LOVE hearing stuff like that!

  • Steve Carroll Wednesday, 29 April 2015 at 21:37

Goals are not that extreme for 2015, just wanted to be less sedentry at work and that’s going well so far.

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:10

Office jobs are the worst :| I often feel my bum going numb when I’m really busy and that’s disturbing. These days I tend to go out of the building and walk around the block a few times a day and then within the building as much as possible.

  • Scallywag Wednesday, 29 April 2015 at 21:20

My goal this year was just to keep ticking along and I am doing that. Properly back on the run too!

Thanks so much for running the giveaway!

    • MrsB Friday, 1 May 2015 at 10:11

You are doing just fine :) I have to say I hardly ever set specific goals, I find that too much pressure. I just make sure that every training session I have I work hard and afterwards evaluate how it went – what did I do well, what could I have done differently, etc. Not all sessions are full of PBs but that’s how it’s supposed to be.
