The Good Enough Mums Club

Friday, 11 July 2014

Last night I met up with the famous French Yummy Mummy Muriel in Balham and we headed over to the Bedford to see a musical called The Good Enough Mums Club.

I had heard about it on Twitter and I thought it’d be a fun night out. I didn’t, however, expect the show to be SO hilarious, SO well choreographed, SO well produced, SO well sung and acted, and SO deep & meaningful as well.

The entire audience laughed and cried, and at the end joined in the most unforgettable version of Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes Boobs. There was a lot of great humour in the show, I’m pretty sure every mother in the audience could relate to every single joke (even if they thought for the initial second: ohmygoddidtheyreallysaythatoutloud!).

Jokes aside though, the story was very thought-provoking and I am convinced that no one left the Bedford last night not feeling a whole lot better / happier / more positive / about the experience that mothering is.

The show is running next from 16 – 20 of July in Kennington. It’s awesome for a girls’ night out, go see it, you won’t regret it!

Huge thanks for inviting me! I had a great evening and we need to do it more often. The show was fantastic -so honest it sometimes hurt. It proved that I am not ready for another baby and never will be. Thanks again ! x

I saw a BIG snippet of it at BritMums Live and felt exactly as you with all of those capital letter Sos.
    All of that and more.
And yes, so VERY deep and so very meaningful.
I missed the one you went to and can’t make those dates either, so looks like I will have to hope that they go on tour.
    GREAT REVIEW>
So happy that you love it as much as I did – can’t wait to see the WHOLE thing x
