It’s a beautiful sunny 23°C kind of a summer day here in London. I love summer and sunshine but I don’t like to be in the sun, I like to be near it and White Spider with windows (and some walls) wide open was just perfect this morning.
We did some climbing in the beginning but belaying my husband hurts my right shoulder and climbing really high myself scares me a little bit still so I spent most of my time bouldering. The videos below are from two of the trickiest “problems” I’ve figured out.
None of it looks hard on the screen but the start of the first one is really hard because there’s nothing to hold onto with the left hand, I have to slide my body up by just leaning on the little old on the right and the orange hold on the left that I’m aiming for is invisible behind the little ledge there. The second problem is not too hard but it’s yet another one that requires using the wall at the start to slide yourself up.
As you can tell I’m really liking this bouldering thing. I wish they had a decent pull up bar there as well so I could practice my chin ups – I’m actually able to do at least 5 now if I rest for 30-60 seconds in between :D Last year at this time I could not do any so slowly but surely I’m making progress. So stoked. Because chin ups are so freaking hard.
Anyway, time for coffee and more sunshine now. #sundaysfundays
