This week there was no long run, no speed sessions, no Crossfit and no Bikram – we were in Center Parcs most of the week and instead there were three hilly 10km’s.
We have been to that Center Parcs twice before but this was the first time I’ve run there. Previously I thought it’d be too annoying to run around in little circles dodging people and bikes. Turns out the key is to keep to the roads on the perimeter as much as possible, avoiding the footpaths.
The elevation gain for these runs was between 122m and 162m, my usual London runs don’t get much above 30m :)
I ran on Saturday and Sunday as well so the total mileage for this week was right on track:
- Monday: Rest
- Tuesday: 10:61km at 5:29 min/km pace
- Wednesday: 9.73km at 5:29 pace
- Thursday: 10.10km at 5:19 pace
- Friday: Rest
- Saturday: 20.35km at 5:42 pace
- Sunday: 10.11km at 5:32 pace
Next week the long run is 30km and then only increase until the taper. The bad news is that I really am not looking forward to these long runs but the good news is that I only have 3 more weeks of these crazy long runs and then 3 weeks of tapering and then Paris!
