Well that’s a bit embarrasing – turns out my 30km run on Saturday wasn’t that long after all! :( I had cheered and punched air and blogged and tweeted and facebooked but then just before bed I finally noticed that the Runmeter screenshot said that the fastest pace for a km was 1:03.
I initially just shrugged it off as a glitch in results but then started thinking that if it thinks I ran a km in one minute, then it must have calculated the distance wrong at some point! I tossed and turned half a night and first thing in the morning checked the map of the run. Sure enough I quickly saw this:
THAT is a very short 4th and 5th km! So based on having run that part of the route before, it looks like I ran just over 28km instead of the 30.
Ughh. Technology fail. But I still got me some of those endorphins and next weekend I WILL run that 30k!
Tomorrow we’re off to Center Parcs for 5 days so running will be scarce but I’m not fretting about it too much – life has to happen in the midst of all this marathon training as well :)

- Tuesday: Rest
- Wednesday: 15.23 km at 5:04 pace, 1:17:11 ===== 9.4 miles
- Thursday: 6.23 km at 4:57 pace, 30:48 ===== 3.8 miles
- Friday: Rest (struggling with a cold)
- Saturday: 28.22 km at 5:50 pace, 2:44:35 ===== 17.5 miles
- Sunday: 8.72 km at 5:38 pace, 49:11 ===== 5.4 miles
Total: 58.4 km = 36.2 miles
