Wellness Mama

Wellness Mama

Wellness MamaKatie aka Wellness Mama is an American who is immensely knowledgeable in nutrition and natural/healthy living.  Every time I read one of her posts I am blown away by how thorough they are – every health claim is backed up by a lot of research and then padded with personal experience for good measure as well.  I don’t think I’ll ever achieve as clean of a life as she’s managed to create for her family, but her posts inspire me a lot and little by little I’m making changes in my life (I hope she’d tell me though how to help my kids to stop eating sugar and grains! :)

Some of my favorite posts by her:

Lisa Gusto

Lisa GustoLisa is Swedish, but in addition to eating weird things like reindeer meat and extract from pine trees, she knows a lot about homeopathy and nutrition (and fashion as well, I must add!).  Every single blog post of hers is full of very useful information and she often reviews health food items that she has stumbled upon and loves (and then I get annoyed that I don’t live in Kensington near Whole Foods! :).

Some of my favorite posts by her:

Both of these ladies are almost my only source of information on nutrition and healthy living.  I read a few more commercial blogs as well, like Mark’s Daily Apple, and lot of the running blogs I read have nutritional information, but Lisa and Katie’s blogs are by far my favorite ones on this topic.

Now it’s your time to share – who do you listen to and trust when it comes to nutritional information?

Oh yes I’ll start tomorrow straight after drop-off, and after 2 months of absolutely no excersice I’m not exactly looking forward, but reading your cross-fit/running posts really get’s me motivated.
